The management of discarded electronic devices is a growing concern. Lead, for example, is found in computer monitors. With the average computer monitor containing five pounds of lead, one can see the importance of recycling e-waste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Buchanan County<\/strong> collects electronics for recycling May through October on the first and third Saturdays from 8 am to noon. The facility is located at 51 SE Houseman St., Faucett, MO<\/a>. The facility WILL NOT TAKE BUSINESS WASTE<\/strong>. Call the District Office at 816-393-5250 or Buchanan County at 816-351-1019 for questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clinco Sheltered Industries<\/strong>, located at 1205 W. Grand Avenue, Cameron, MO<\/a>, accepts electronics for recycling year-round from 8 am to 3 pm during business hours. Recycling fees of $20 are charged only for TVs and computer monitors.<\/strong> Call 816-632-3966 for more information.\u00a0 NO BUSINESS WASTE!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
