District Coordinator Job Description<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Administration<\/strong> \u2013<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Maintain, update and submit as necessary the Region D Solid Waste Management District Plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Provide administrative assistance to the District and its Officers as required and\/or requested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Coordinate District Council and Executive Board, and Advisory Board meetings and assist the chairman in the preparation of agendas and any other materials necessary or required for those meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Prepare and maintain District grants for district-wide projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Coordinate Grant Review Committee annually for grant evaluations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Prepare all grant documents for submittal to DNR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Develop and administer a \u201chands-on\u201d program to assure existing grant compliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Record and keep on file all minutes of district council and executive board meetings and all other pertinent documents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Keep an updated listing of all council members and terms and notify appropriate officials when these terms expire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Assure compliance with state regulations. Provide information on legislative changes and\/or mandates that may affect the members of the district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Develop and maintain adequate financial records and reports. Familiarity with QuickBooks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Prepare monthly financial reports as reconciled with the bank statements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Prepare annual draft budget for budget committee discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Provide pre-meeting notices of the meetings. Assist with compliance of Missouri\u2019s open meetings law. Follow Sunshine Law requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Provide information and orientation to the Executive Board on model plan and the information sources required to begin and continue planning activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Keep abreast of state legislation and new developments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Assist auditors with preparation of, and presentation of audit of district compliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Work with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources on performance and financial monitoring<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Coordinate and assist the operator of the Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics collection and storage facilities. Work with permitted contractors for household hazardous waste and electronics recycling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Attend planner\u2019s meetings and Solid Waste Advisory (SWAB) meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Prepare all grant reporting requirements and submit as required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Perform other duties as assigned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Education<\/strong> \u2013<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Develop and conduct educational programs with Region D<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Develop Public Awareness of grants to facilitate compliance with Senate Bill 530 or its legislation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Facilitation<\/strong> \u2013<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Facilitate the Action Plan of Region D as outlined in \u201cRegion D Solid Waste District Plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
