The management of discarded electronic devices is a growing concern. Lead, for example is found in computer monitors. With the average computer monitor containing 5 lbs of lead, one can see the importance of recycling e-waste.


Buchanan County collects electronics for recycling May through October on the first and third Saturdays from 8 am to noon. The facility is located at 51 SE Houseman St., Faucett, MO. Clinco Sheltered Industries, located at 1205 W. Grand Avenue, Cameron, MO, accepts electronics for recycling year-round from 8 am to 3 pm during business hours. Recycling fees of $20 are charged only for TVs and computer monitors. Call 816-632-3966 for more information.  NO BUSINESS WASTE!
